The accreditations of Advisors are analyzed individually by CPG/ICB, using the information contained in the standardized curriculum, with maximum validity of five years.
All advisors and co-advisors must at least hold a Doctoral degree, valid in Brazil or recognized by the USP. The advisor can be responsible for simultaneously advising no more than ten (10) students at USP.
Advisors who hold Doctoral degrees obtained at Institutions extraneous to USP, must have their degrees submitted to equivalence of those granted by USP. The degrees obtained in programs accredited by CAPES will be analyzed only in regard to the formal aspects thereof.
